Premium Smooth Finish approximates the surface of a honed limestone*.
It is not as smooth as polished marble; however, much smoother than the sandy limestone texture of our Etched Finish due to the smoothness imparted to our moulds by the marble originals.*
Etched Finish is a fairly consistent "sandy limestone" texture on the models originally marble. However, the models, originally limestone, may show more character due to the chiseled and/or more rustic nature imparted to the moulds of the limestone originals.
All finishes are available in your choice of standard colors or custom colors.

*Premium Smooth Finish will be more smooth on mantels that we have reproduced from marble originals (R-01, R-04, R-06, R-09, R-14, R-16 & R-18 as well as R-17 which has been reproduced from a hand carved and lacquered wood original.
*Premium Smooth Finish will be less smooth on mantels that we have reproduced from limestone originals (R-02, R-03, R-05, R-07 & R-08). These mantels are reproduced from limestone originals of an inherently more rustic nature; and in most cases the Premium Smooth finish will reveal the hand chisel work , as applied to the antique original stone, as well as some of the original antique distresses from the 18th and 19th Century originals.
